Session types

Set up what you offer once — then just pick it when scheduling, instead of re-entering everything each week.

Message players

Write to your members. They see it when they open lobbd, and by email if you choose.

Noticeboard

For things you are not selling through Lobbd — a fixture ticketed on somebody else's site, an event another club runs, a notice about the venue. Anything you take money for should be a session instead, so it uses the same basket, refunds and member pricing.

Set up a session

For opening bookings ahead of time — pick who’s playing and generate games closer to the date.
Basics
Picking one fills in the name, description, duration and price below — you can still change anything before saving.
When & where
Used to block these courts off from court hire (and vice versa) for exactly this window.
The percentage itself is set on the membership package, under Memberships & payments. This only decides whether this session is one of the eligible ones. Picking a session type sets this from the type; you can still change it here.
Needed for the buffer and blocking above to actually work — without a real location, times are just shown to players, nothing gets blocked.
Starts from the session type's usual capacity, but this specific one — different venue, running alongside another session, whatever the reason — can be different. Only affects this session.
Repeats
We can't create truly infinite sessions up front, so this creates a large batch now ( sessions, roughly ahead) — add more later once these start running low.
Each one is created as its own independent session — editing one later won’t change the others unless you choose to apply changes to the whole series.

Set the game rules
i
"Play to" and "Win by" are greyed out below because you chose Timed on the previous step — timed games go until time is called, not to a fixed score, so those rules don't apply.
Advanced settings
This is the same number as "Each game (min)" on the Divisions step if you pick a Timed session — editing either one updates both. It stays here too because Standard and Continuous sessions (which don’t use the Divisions-step timed calculator at all) still need a default to estimate from.
Points awarded for each result:
Secondary fairness rules
These refine the schedule without changing the round count or your primary priority above. All on by default — the same behaviour lobbd has always used.
Who’s coming?
Select players for this session
Here’s what we’d do
How long are you playing?
How many divisions?
Every game will be someone from one team against someone from the other — nobody plays a teammate.
Choose 1 division if you want every player mixed across all courts for the widest variety of partners and opponents. More divisions keeps ability levels closer together, but each division is a smaller, separate pool — so players will see the same partners/opponents come round sooner.
Keep divisions strictly separate
Never mixes players between divisions — a court can sit empty for a round, or someone can rest more than others, rather than ever pairing across ability levels.
Balance divisions first, mix only if needed Recommended
Fills as many courts as it genuinely can within each division on its own first. Only when a court would otherwise sit completely empty for a specific round does it borrow one resting player from the other division — always a real doubles game, tagged "Mixed" wherever it shows up, never singles.
Maximise court use — singles allowed too
Everything above, plus: if there still aren’t enough players for a full doubles game even after borrowing, plays singles rather than leaving a court empty. Best for paid sessions where court time matters more than always playing doubles.
How should players be grouped?
i
Lobbd automatically spreads out partners and opponents behind the scenes, whichever option you pick.
Or split into divisions

New round robin or tournament

For a competition people enter online and that Lobbd draws, schedules and scores. Everything here can be changed afterwards.

The first one listed fills first. The entry form builds its availability question from these.

New competition

Average points per game is the fairest for most leagues — it won’t favour someone just for playing more games.

Add a past session

For results you already recorded elsewhere — like a spreadsheet — before switching to lobbd. Enter each player's final record for that session, or upload a CSV instead.
Columns: Name, W, D, L, and an optional Points column if you scored it differently.

How to use lobbd

Getting started
Go to Player database first and import your players from DUPR or add them manually. Every session draws from this list.
Running a session
Click Session → choose Standalone or League → select players → build divisions → generate games → enter scores → submit.
Social sessions
Choose Social for fun play with no points or divisions. Select format (rotating doubles, fixed, singles), set duration, select players and generate games. Use Court display to show games on a TV.
Competitions
Create Leagues, Tournaments or Team events under Competitions. Run sessions and assign them to a competition at submission time. View standings and history from the competition page.
Court display
Click the Court display button on the games page. A new window opens — put it on a TV screen. It updates automatically every 10 seconds and shows live scores, upcoming games and standings.
DUPR export
After submitting results, lobbd automatically exports a DUPR-compatible CSV. Upload this to DUPR to update player ratings.
