What your club agrees to when you use lobbd. In plain words, because you should not need a solicitor to work out what a booking costs you.
These terms are between Lobbd and your club — the organisation whose account you are setting up. Where they say "you", they mean your club. Your players are not party to these terms. They agree to your club's own terms when they book with you.
Lobbd is billed monthly in advance. Plans are Starter at £29, Club at £59, Club + Site at £99, and Pro from £149 a month. Your first month is £10, on any plan. That is once per club, not once per plan — if you cancel and come back, or move to a different plan, the first month offer does not apply again. Your subscription continues until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from inside Lobbd. **Cancelling stops future billing. It does not refund the month you are in.** You keep everything you are paying for until the end of that billing period.
Upgrading takes effect immediately. We charge the difference for the rest of the month straight away, and the new price from your next billing date. You will see the exact figure before you confirm. Downgrading also takes effect immediately. Features that are only on your previous plan stop being available at once — not at the end of the month. The unused part of what you have already paid is credited against your next invoice. That is worth reading twice, because it surprises people: on a downgrade the features go now and the money comes back later.
If you take payments through Lobbd — sessions, court hire, coaching, memberships, events — the money goes to your own Stripe account, not to ours. Lobbd never holds it. Lobbd charges a platform fee of 3% plus 30p on each payment. It is deducted before the money reaches you. On an £8 session booking, your player pays £8.00 and your club receives £7.46. This is separate from your monthly subscription, and it applies on every plan.
When you refund a booking, your player is refunded in full. The platform fee on the original payment is not returned to you. The reason is worth stating plainly rather than burying: card processing is charged the moment a payment is taken and is not returned when it is refunded. If Lobbd handed its fee back as well, we would be paying the processing cost out of our own pocket on a booking we earned nothing from. So a refunded £8 booking costs your club £8.00 — the £7.46 you received comes back out, and the 54p platform fee you had already paid stays paid. This applies whether the player cancels or you do. If you expect to cancel sessions regularly — for weather, courts, or numbers — that cost is worth factoring in. Always refund through Lobbd, not from Stripe directly. A refund issued in the Stripe dashboard behaves differently and will not be recorded correctly against your bookings.
If a player disputes a payment with their bank instead of asking you for a refund, the card networks charge £20 to handle it. That is charged whether the dispute is resolved in your favour or not, and neither Lobbd nor Stripe can waive it. Disputes are rare. The usual cause is somebody not recognising the name on their statement, so making sure your club's name is clear on payments is the best protection there is.
Payments reach your club's bank account on the payout schedule set on your Stripe account. Payouts are not instant. The first one after you connect your account takes longer while Stripe completes its checks on your organisation. After that they arrive on your normal schedule. Stripe, not Lobbd, decides whether your account passes those checks and holds the relationship with your bank.
If payment fails — an expired card, usually — your club keeps access to its bookings, sessions and player records. The features included in your paid plan become unavailable until payment resumes. We do not delete your data when a subscription lapses. Your club, your players, your history and your bookings stay exactly as they are.
Your club's data is yours. Your player records, bookings, payments, results and everything else you put into Lobbd belong to your club, not to us. You can export it. If you leave, you can take it with you. You remain responsible for your own obligations to your members — including data protection, safeguarding, and anything else that comes with running a club. Lobbd is a tool you use to meet them, not a substitute for meeting them.
On Club + Site, your website is part of Lobbd. It runs at a lobbd.com address, or at your own domain if you have one. Your website shows your live club data. When you change a session in Lobbd, the public page changes with it. If you use your own domain, you are responsible for the domain itself — registering it, renewing it, and pointing it at us. If it lapses, your website stops working, and there is nothing we can do about that from our end. A bespoke website is a separate piece of work, quoted separately from your monthly plan. It is not included in any subscription.
Lobbd is software, and software has bad days. We do not promise it will never be unavailable. What we do promise is that we will not lose your club's data, and that when something goes wrong we will tell you rather than hope you do not notice.
If we change these terms in a way that affects what you pay or what you get, we will tell you before it takes effect, and you can cancel if you do not agree.
